Off Message

So I started another blog linked to this one to deposit half-formed (and half-arsed) ideas to come back to at a later date (possibly). And already that blog has had a bunch of ‘views’, which lends further credence to the suggestion that nobody’s really reading Off Message at all. All the ‘views’ are just click-throughs, whatever they are. As you (not that there’s a ‘you’ out there, but anyway…) can see, I still don’t understand how blogs work. In any case, all those interminable weeks banging on about “ooh, I wonder who’s reading my blog” were a complete waste of time for all involved. Which is to say, me, ‘cos no bugger else was reading, apart from the occasional errant friend.

Still, that won’t stop me writing this crap.

Apparently, according to a little message on my log-in page, I can now upload documents, music and videos to my blog. Fascinating. There’s just one problem: I can’t be arsed.

And now blog.com is back to being in English. Bizarre.

and I’ve just deleted Existential Ennui, so that’s gone for good.

Weirdly, the blog.com log-in page is currently showing in a mixture of French and English. What the hell’s going on?

Well, whatever the problem was, it seems to have been rectified. Basically, when I logged in to blog.com, my blog had a message plastered over it detailing some nonsense about meeting someone in Canada or something, which stopped me using certain functions – including the ability to delete the blog entirely. So I was this far from jettisoning the whole thing – except I couldn’t, ‘cos the random message covered the delete button.

Ungh.

I appear to have been hacked. Hmm.

Fuck me I’m bored.

Gone a bit quiet, hasn’t it? Anyone would think I’ve been busy. Well I have.

Busy watching The Thick Of It on DVD. It’s even better on second viewing. Only re-watched the first three episodes so far (and the commentaries, and the extras); I think my favourite bit is when Hugh Abbot (Minister for Social Affairs) sits quietly in a darkened kitchen next to the PM’s office, calmly eating biscuits.

Rather shockingly, the commentary on episode two revealed that the companies that set up focus groups really do employ actors to make up the numbers. Jesus.

So that’s what I’ve been doing. Oh yeah, and that work stuff too. What about you? 

It’s getting tricky deciding where to blog these days. Do I post here, on the old faithful (well, new-old faithful, now I’ve moved blogs), or on myspazz? I just posted on myspazz about some sweets I bought. It seemed more appropriate somehow. Off Message is a more serious blog, I feel, dealing with weightier matters. Like… er… urm…

*sigh* 

I ab bunged ub. Hayfever season seems to have started early this year. Bloody global warming. Grr.
